Impatient

A solution... last night I ordered my brand new laptop - in red!! Apparently that is a compromise between my choice (yellow of course!) and John's (black). I can't wait to have an operating system that is newer than 2001... And to post images on my blog again. Thankyou DELL!!! 10 Days and counting. In other news I have been browsing around the embroidery bloggers via Meet me at Mikes (sorry, can't provide a link... old computer). I am absolutely in love with the vintage embroidery that is going on at the moment. I was so excited when i went to Spotlight the other day and found some awesome vintage transfers for days of the week including 'Tropical Babies!!' SO cool... I will provide links to all this splendour in about , ooh, 10 days or so. I have been busy on my second rag rug too - a gift for my mother who has been coveting mine. I'm really liking it. And I have been bloghopping and discovering some lovely gems like 'three buttons' and 'a little bird told me.so' . Busy and inspired...

To Do

I have been experimenting with new techniques lately - embroidery, crochet... new to me anyway. I want this year to be full of new skills and beautiful surprises. I finished my rag rug and have recently done my first piece of embroidery which is so beautiful. I feel so inspired and excited and impatient when I complete things and my mind fills up with possibilties, I don't know where to start my next project, there is just so much potential in my head. My list currently consists of the following (in no particular order);
- Finish my knitted shrug
- Crochet something
- Felt something
- Make cushions for front room (embroidery)
- Make Christmas presents
- Make a rag rug for mum
- Make a gorgeous vintage apron a la 'tie one on' (http://angrychicken.typepad.com/tieoneon/)
- Make clothes for Lachlan
- Make clothes for me!!!
- Get my knitting machine out and create something
- Make advent calendars for next Christmas
- Come up with new screen prints
- Print and make up the tees I have had cut out for ever!!!
I have started this year off well by finishing a couple of projects already. Hopefully I can keep up my momentum.

Hmmmm

A technological mishap involving a laptop and a glass of milo is interfering with my ability to blog. I am currently using an old mac on which the available browsers are unable to display all the features of blogger. So currently I can post, but cannot format, add pictures or links. Please, bear with me!!! I actually have some beautiful things I want to post about at the moment - with pictures, not least of which is my completed hooked "rag rug" - over two years in the making, and at the top of my dream planner for this year. Grrrrr!
