I love Jenni

I do love Jenni, for many reasons, and yesterday she gave me another good one. She brought me a treasure back from Melbourne - a Liana Kabel bangle which I have coveted for a long time. I discovered Liana last year and was hooked. Such bright and yummy pieces made from everyday materials including Tupperware!! I am not sure if I shall ever take this bangle off; I feel like the luckiest girl in the world!!

Shoes, Baby, Shoes

I have also been creating these; baby shoes!! I am one of those people who will not buy things if I know I can make them myself. These shoes are not only handmade, but unique, personal and just so damn funky! The tartan ones are from a pattern I drafted myself, and the others are from the pattern at stardustshoes. There is a great resource at Old School Acres with a whole listing of free patterns. I received my first order for a pair of the tartan boots last week. Contact me if you are interested (sadly, no etsy shop yet...)

Miss Peta's feeling for Felt

Yes, I have been busy with the baby but I have also been creating, and decided last week to felt some of the knits I have had sitting around for a while. I did it the cheats way, in a hot wash in the washing machine with detergent, but am really happy with the results. I now plan to cut these up and incorporate them into various other projects, as trims on cardigans or as brooches. My knitting itself is a blend of yarns and textures so these pieces have felted unevenly, which gives a beautiful feel to them.
